本片根據西班牙民間故事改編。在巴斯克地區偏遠的深山裡住著一位神秘的鐵匠，傳聞他是魔鬼的化身，令四周的村民聞風喪膽。某天，小女孩意外闖入鐵匠的家，竟在這個陰森詭異的巢穴裡發現天大的祕密! 而尋找女孩的村民們也決定組成一隻敢死隊，前往鐵匠家搜索
