　　那达夫·拉皮德执导，故事讲述一名男子从以色列逃往法国仅靠著法语字典来与人互动、生活，却在最后感受到被异地拒绝的故事。
　　以色列退伍士兵约亚夫（汤姆·梅西耶 饰），一心向往自由开放的法国，却在来到巴黎后惨遭洗劫。眼看即将沦落街头，约亚夫遇到一对生活富裕的情侣—作家艾米勒和女友卡洛琳，因而幸运获救。
　　一无所有的约亚夫，索性决定脱胎换骨，从此当个法国人。他开始拒说希伯来语（母语），并通过背诵同义词方式，积极学习法语，全力融入这个他心目中的理想国度。有趣的是，他过去在军中的悲惨遭遇，却成了艾米勒笔下的绝佳题材；而他媲美罗马雕像的健美身材，也沦为卡洛琳每晚的意淫目标，永无止尽地利用他满足性欲，三人于是发展出一段极其微妙的三角关系…
