　　克劳德（让-保罗·卢弗 Jean-Paul Rouve 饰）是一个大街上随处可见的平凡男人，他善良，真诚，有点害羞，有时还会冒点傻气。遗憾的是，克劳德的女人缘一向不是太好，曾经有过的极段感情经历最后都以失败告终。终日生活在孤独和寂寞之中，克劳德决定主动出击，结束自己的单身生活。
　　
　　一次偶然中，克劳德结识了名为塞伊（杰拉尔·德帕迪约 Gérard Depardieu 饰）的男子，塞伊是一名单身父亲，独自养育着两个女儿。和克劳德不同，塞伊极富有个人魅力，是社交场上的中心所在。相同的信念将这两个性格截然相反的男人紧紧联系到了一起，在“脱单”的过程中，两人之间亦产生了真挚的友谊。
