　　Sparks是一对完全不卖座的青年卖座组合，在某次露天演出中，成员之一德永（菅田将晖 饰）被傻瓜二人组的神谷才藏（桐谷健太 饰）所吸引。神谷同样渴望成名，他空有满脑子的好点子，却始终和这个世界格格不入。德永钦佩对方，于是请求拜对方为师。与之相对，神谷则提出了要德永为他写传记的要求。此后的岁月里，师徒二人惺惺相惜，每次聊天吃饭都夹杂着令人捧腹的插科打诨。在这一过程中，与神谷同居的女子真里（木村文乃 饰）选择成家，出道没多久的后辈名声大噪，一同打拼多年的搭档萌生退意。为了喜欢的事业，德永和神谷都不知不觉奉献着自己的全部人生，只为那花火退去后的星点光辉……
