　　电影讲威尔史密斯冒充知名黑人影星薛尼鲍迪的儿子，闯进了史达卡钱宁的家中, 将他夫妇俩唬得一楞一楞的。最后让史达卡钱宁对自己的生活产生反思。片子对六度分离的理论有提及，但是并没有通篇去阐述。可以说威尔史密斯因为偷盗了朋友的电话簿，去进行冒充的举动是他想要实践六度分离的理论。但影片的重点比较是史达卡钱宁对过往生活的醒悟。史达卡钱宁还因为此片入围过奥斯卡女主角奖。
