◎简　　介

　　昭和35年，广岛最大暴力团村冈组组长（名和宏 饰）称病住院，其下最有实力继任者杉原文雄（铃木康弘 饰）光天化日之下被人射杀，该事件成为广岛战争之导火索。

　　随之两个最有实力的继任者浮出水面：打本升（加藤武 饰）和山守义雄（金子信雄 饰）。广能昌三（菅原文太 饰）与两人皆有渊源，处于其中左右为难。打本为求独大，不惜请来西日本的明石组撑腰。此举令村冈组长厌恶，遂在竞争中失势，因而山守组如日中天。打本逃跑投奔明石组，借此明石辰男（丹波哲郎 饰）势力得以渗透广岛。另一方，山守组为对抗外来势力入侵，在年轻干部武田明（小林旭 饰）的建议下，与神户神和会等黑帮组织接洽。

　　一场卷入数支帮派的黑道战争由此拉开序幕……
