　　16世纪，阿育达耶(Ayudhaya)王国的国王Maha Thammaracha的儿子Naresuan被抓到Hongsawadee(现在的缅甸)作为了人质，并在那里成长。1571年回到故土的Naresuan凭借他出色的领导能力打下了阿育达耶(Ayudhaya)王国新的基石。但是Hongsawadee的新国王Nandabayin虎视眈眈的注视着Naresuan，并想除掉他。1590年，Naresuan父王去世后顺利的登上了王的位置，并宣布阿育达耶(Ayudhaya)王国的独立，向Hongsawadee宣战。

　　Naresuan国王是泰国人最尊敬的伟大的国王，他的事迹广为传说。影片《纳瑞宣国王》描写了泰国最具传奇色彩的国王的一生故事，导演查崔查勒姆·尧克尔(Chatrichalerm Yukol)以他出色的执导能力述说了一段纳瑞宣国王的传奇一生。
